We are launching Barrack Rook Banter starting this Friday.
While developing creativity in our young people is our primary aim we also recognise that art is a fantastic method of supporting those who have been pushed to the edge and then beyond the edge in service to their country.
Run by veterans for veterans, Barack Room Banter is a place where squaddies talk with squaddies, with those who are dealing with the same problems as you in civvy street now - and have been through the same problems as you in the past.
A place where veterans can come and have a brew with people that talk the same language and have navigated the same waters as you. We may not have all the answers but we will have some and will always support you. Our aim is to try and help you find some peace and sanity in this crazy world we live in.
And it's not just a talking shop. There's lots of things to do lying around in Artists Attic that you might like to have a go at. Just ask, that's what we're here for.
Barrack Room Banter is from 6-8pm every Friday at Artists Attic Trust, 44 Daisy Hill, Dewsbury, WF13 1LH. Parking is free in Dewsbury after 6pm but the easiest option is to use ASDA car park across the ring road for 3 hours free parking.
Postscript
Unfortunately, due to the loss of two of our military veterans from the management team due to health issues we have had to postpone activity on Barrack Room Banter for the time being.
